Parties & Celebrations
Parties should be fun! So I tend to play the most upbeat songs in my repertoire. Exact selections depend on the musical taste of the audience--and I'll work with you to create a set list--but a sample set for party might include something like: Here Comes the Sun (Beatles), Stand by Me (Ben E. King), Count on Me (Bruno Mars), Hey Ho (Lumineers), Best Day of My Life (American Authors), Everything (Michael Buble), Tenerife Sea (Ed Sheeran), Can't Help Falling in Love (Elvis), Wouldn't it Be Nice (Beach Boys), I Will (the Beatles), Going to California (Led Zeppelin), I'm Yours (Jason Mraz), Wonderwall (Oasis), Sky Full of Stars (Coldplay), and other selections from my pop & rock set list.

When elegance is required, the harp is a perfect match. For a more classic ambience, I might choose to play something like: O Mio Babbino Caro (G. Puccini), Etude in C (J.S. Bach), To a Wild Rose (E. MacDowell), Pavane (G. Faure), and pieces by Mozart, Handel, Schumann, Purcell, and other classical composers. Depending on your taste, I could also include softer Irish and Scottish airs, and a few jazz tunes that border on the elegant, such as "La Vie en Rose." Explore more song options or contact me for a full set list and additional song ideas.
I try to find music fitting for every event, so for a baby shower, I might choose to play a mix of baby-related popular songs, lullabies, and Disney tunes, including: My Girl, You Are My Sunshine, Here Comes the Sun, theme from Beauty and the Beast, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Someday My Prince Will Come, Part Of Your World (Little Mermaid), Somewhere Over the Rainbow, La Vie en Rose, Best day of My Life (American Authors), Hush Little Baby, Armenian Lullaby, Irish Lullaby, Iroquois Lullaby, Angel (Jack Johnson), and Lullaby (Billy Joel). Explore more options or contact me for a full set list.
To honor the memory of someone, the music depends a lot on the person. I'll work with you to determine the best music selections. It can vary from traditional hymns or songs like On Eagle's Wings, You Lift Me Up, The Prayer, to music of various ethnic traditions, or popular songs that relate such as Here Comes the Sun (Beatles), Angel (Jack Johnson), I Will Remember You (Sarah McLachlan), or some of your loved one's favorite songs or genres. I like to talk about the harp! And I like to share my enthusiasm about the harp with audiences of any age. My programs range from a concert-like performance where I discuss various kinds of harp and their history, to a hands-on workshop. Please contact me for more information.
