Corporate Events
I have provided live harp music for corporate events and galas of all sizes, ranging from large conferences with several thousand attendees to exclusive VIP dinners. Some of my clients have included Harvard Law School, McKinsey & Company, AstraZeneca, Citizens Bank, American College of Physicians Board of Governors, and Perkins Coie Law Firm.
Song Options:
I always tailor my repertoire to the guests' age and musical taste, and can play anything from the Beatles to 70s rock classics (think “Sweet Child of Mine” on the harp) to modern pop artists such as Taylor Swift or John Legend. My clients love hearing songs they know re-imagined to the harp. I can also play a more classical or jazzy set if you prefer. If a more upbeat vibe is desired, my band, the Boston HarpBeat, is a great choice: with harp, drums, and bass, it is a balanced blend of elegance and energy. We keep the vibe lively, but at a volume where guests can still hold conversations.
Harp style options:
- Traditional harp — seated, classic elegance
- Strolling harp — I move from table to table or room to room, bringing the music directly to your guests; ideal for multi-room events or cocktail hours
- Electric harp — a modern twist; I can also play with a DJ
- Boston HarpBeat — my harp-led instrumental cover band
- Classic Strings — harp and violin, harp and cello, or a trio
“I have hired Shelley for probably over a dozen events at this point across working for two different companies and have always been thrilled to work with her. From a logistics side, Shelley is organized, responsive and helpful. As a performer, her music is always beautiful and adds so much to any event. I'm convinced she can play anything - and if she can't, it's just a matter of YET! :) She is mindful of the volume, room setup and acoustics. I would recommend her completely with no hesitation for any event.”
